Revision

The Revise tab in the Ensis Word Add-in allows you to refine your proposal responses using AI-powered revisions. You can guide the revision process with a custom prompt and leverage your organization's stored Resources for more precise edits.

For guidance on crafting effective prompts to refine AI-generated revisions, check out our Effective Prompts in Ensis guide.

Step 1 - Open the "Revise" tab

In Microsoft Word, open the Ensis Add-in side pane. Click the Revise tab.

Step 2 - Select text to revise

In your Word document, highlight the text you want to improve or modify. The highlighted text will appear in the Ensis side pane.

Step 3 - Provide a revision prompt

In the Ensis side pane, type a custom prompt describing how you'd like the text to be revised (e.g., "Make this more concise" or "Adjust the tone to be more formal"). Once you've entered a prompt, the Revise button will become enabled.

Step 4 - Generate a revision

Click Revise to generate a refined version of your selected text. Ensis will leverage AI to create a revision based on your prompt and stored Resources.

Step 5 - Apply the revision to your proposal or continue refining

Once the revision is generated, you have several options:

  • Click Insert to replace your original text with the revised version in your document.

  • Click Copy to copy the revision to your clipboard and paste it manually.

  • Enter a new prompt and click Revise again to further refine the text.

Step 6 - Start a new revision

When you're ready to revise another section, click Start a New Revision to restart the process.
